Membership and Registration Applications

Brokerage Consulting Services can take you from idea to membership. If you have not yet applied for membership or need help with the ongoing process BCS can help. We also provide assistance with the filing of Registered Investment Advisor applications (RIA form ADV).

Capabilities

Our Professionals will ensure that the your membership application is filed correctly which eliminates costly delays and additional NASD responses and we well will work with you to ensure timely responses to any NASD questions. We will review your business plan and ensure that it drives the procedures manual and the operating authority you file for on form BD.

How long does it take? From the day you submit your application to the NASD it can take six months or more, a fast approval would be four months if it takes longer then six your original application had major problems.

How can you speed it up? Do it right the first time and the NASD will approve it without requiring you to fix it over many months as they dig into it and discover problems. Every time you submit a change the NASD gets thirty more days to review your change. We can act as your consultant to write your application, or review an application before it is submitted to the NASD. You can also hire us after the application is submitted to help with the review process. If you have not been through the process before give us a call we can save you several months, or even the frustration of having an incomplete application returned thirty days after you submitted it with a letter that indicates your application does not meet the requirements of NASD Rule 1010, 1012, and or 1013.

Services

Turn Key B/D: Will provide you with the Procedures Manual, work with you on the Business Plan, and all other required forms and applications (including B/D Bond, FINS Number, Form BD and U-4) $8,000.00 ($5,000 to 50,000 net cap requirement)

Procedures Manual: Will write or customize your NASD Written Procedures Manual. Provide you with a complete manual that can be customized by you for your firm for $1,500.00 (full disclosed introducing B/D $5,000 to $100,000 net capital, no market making activities).

Application Responses: Ensure that all NASD questions about your application are answered quickly and comply with all regulations.

"Contract Principals" for your Broker Dealer: If you require principals for your B/D we can provide contract officers in the following areas: Chief Compliance Officer, Financial and Operations Principal, Municipal Principal, Options Principal, General Principal.

Advisor and Review Services: If you take the lead roll in the application process we can become your advisor during the process on an hourly basis.

Final Review: Have BCS review your completed application before you submit it to the NASD. If we find an area that is incomplete or a missing statement or document it could save you 30 to 60 days in the application process.
